Nat Treadway is a managing partner at Distributed Energy Financial Group LLC which he co-founded in 2003. Nat analyzes market structures and performance in the electric industry and advises on regulatory matters and consumer choice. He has promoted energy conservation and distributed energy resources since 1980. He supports giving retail consumers more choices and the ability to purchase only the monopoly services they need.

Nat has been a Peace Corp volunteer, a municipal energy manager, an expert witness on energy efficiency, a policy advisor to regulatory commissioners, and a consultant on retail competition in the electric industry in North America. He is a graduate of Princeton University (BSE, Civil Engineering) with a focus on energy, environment and water pollution, and Michigan State University (MS, Agricultural Economics) with a focus on institutional and behavioral economics and international development.
